Get ready for the next 48-Hour Film Festival! Whether you've completed our Filmmaking 101 weekend course or you are comfortable with your own basic filmmaking skills, here's your chance to continue your film education in this two-day intensive workshop!
The first day of the workshop will focus on the production phase of the filmmaking process as you learn how to go about creating your own approach and style to moviemaking, whether it be in the narrative or documentary realm. Practical shooting tips and how to overcome challenges that you will face in your own projects outside the program will be introduced and put into practice as you film throughout the day: lighting scenes, getting good sound and filming scenes from a variety of different shots.
On Day Two we will dive right into post-production using the footage shot on the first day. As you will learn, this is where your movies truly get made. The Editing and Post-Production process is where it's possible to make average shot films, good, and well shot films, exceptional. From match cuts to intercutting to using photographs and graphics, this is where you'll craft your vision.
The goal of the weekend will be to continue to prepare you to work on a film set as a member of the production crew and but more so to make your very own projects, whether they be short films, documentaries, commercial or web-based projects, and always to continue to network you with other aspiring, local filmmakers. Take a look at the topics we'll be covering. Space will be limited to only 8 participants!
