United Way Summer Champs
     The United Way Summer Champs program is a collaborative project between the Libra Foundation and United Way of Greater Portland. The program provide $1000 in scholarships for students in grades 5 & 6 in the Portland Public Schools to attend summer camp.

     Over the years, this program has sent thousands of children to a broad range of summer camps that help them build important skills, gain self-confidence and independence and grow as individuals.

Using Your Scholarship (Summer Champs)
     After you receive your acceptance letter from the United Way you are all set to register for our Young Filmmakers Movie Camp. Contact us as soon as possible with your child's Summer Champs ID# to finalize the registration process. Fill out your Summer Champs Selection Form, including our ID#426, and return to United Way Summer Champs  by May 12, 2007.

     Camp enrollments do fill quickly. To ensure that your child can attend the camp of his/her choice, the United Way recommends completing these steps as soon as possible.
