Q: What is the Academy's Summer Champs ID#?
A: Our Summer Champs ID is #426.
Q: I don't have any filmmaking and/or acting experience. Can I still sign up?
A: Absolutely! All of our programs are specifically designed for those of you with little or no experience at all. Everyone has to start somewhere, why not here?
Q: I'm only 10 years-old but I really, really, really want to sign up for the Young Filmmakers Movie Camp?
A: We will make exceptions to our age restrictions under special circumstances. 10 year-olds who exhibit maturity beyond their years and have a deep desire to be a filmmaker and take part in our program will be considered. Please contact us to discuss this further.
Q: What time do the programs begin and end?
A: All of our programs begin at 9am and end at 4pm, everyday, Monday thru Friday.
Q: Are there any transportation options for getting to and from the camp?
A: In selecting our locations for our programs we were aware of making them accessible by public transportation. We also encourage parents to network and see if car pooling is an option for multiple students attending the same program.
Q: Why does it cost so much to attend the Academy?
A: In comparison to other local day camps, the cost to attend NEFA may seem expensive. While the technology associated with film production has become much more affordable through the years, it still remains somewhat pricey. The cost to purchase just one production package that includes a computer with the necessary software, a camera, tripod, lighting kit, sound equipment would be well over $7000! And that's just for one package. We will be using up to five of these packages during the course of our programs.
Q: What do similar programs charge?
A: Well, we don't have the same track record and experience as some of our competitors but our goal is to offer a comparable program to the following:

Q: Okay, enough already, I get the point! Maybe it is a pretty good deal
compared to the alternatives but I don't think my parents can afford it. What do I do?
